I read something today that suggested making a list of things that make me happy, and 3 wishes for this year. There are so many things that make me happy. I’ll try to keep it to 20:

1. My family- my family also can make me have so many other emotions. What makes me happy is that we always have each other’s backs. We love one another. We can laugh and cry together. I love my family. My kids…the 2 older ones are forging their way in the world and have careers and partners. My son and his wife have the baby girl that always brings me happiness. The little kids and their ability to think outside of the box. Their wit and explorative nature brings me happiness. My husband… my dear husband. This man. ❤ I have never known love like I do with him. He loves me, he encourages me, he supports all of my needs and almost all of my wants. He is my rock. He makes me laugh. He takes care of so much for our family. He does mornings with the little kids. He is seriously the calm to my crazy.

2. My friends. I have a wonderful circle of friends. I could write a book about the all, but i would need to change their names. Haha. I value my friendships so much. I may be terrible at being the one who reaches out 1st, but they know me. They understand me. And they love me.

3. Animals…cats, dogs, monkeys

4. Rainbows

5. The stale smell of cigarettes and coffee only because it reminds me of my grandparents.

6. Snow

7. The ocean.

8. Sleeping in.

9. Day dreaming.

10. The thought of retirement.

11. The elderly.

12. Getting a package I’ve ordered and wondering what is in it.

14. Old sitcoms like Raymond, 2.5 Men, the Brady Bunch, Family Ties

15. Thoughts from my childhood.

16. Going to concerts.

17. Booking a vacation

18. The leaves changing colors.

19. Finishing a book.

19. Going to church.

20. Listening to music.

If I had 3 wishes for this year that would come true:

1. My grandmother has good health. She has always been the glue of our family and I have such fun memories with her.

2. That my husband and I would find something that would make us financially stable enough that we could travel the world.

3. That I have an unlimited number of wishes that could come true.
