There’s not 1 thing I fixed today that didn’t turn to shit besides the goulash.

That turned out good. I made meat balls aka chicken balls. They were gross because I forgot to add milk to the first half and they were more like hush puppies.

We ended up letting the dogs eat most of them. While I had my hands in that disgusting mess, I asked my husband to boil the eggs for deviling. He put the 1st one in and said, how do you do it without it busting? I said, you lower it easy. I use a ladle. (Ugh). Then I said, boil 5-7 min. So he boiled 6 mins. He didn’t know you had to bring it back to a boil and then boil 5-7 min so he started timing from the time he cannonballed the eggs in to the pot.

I had my hands in the nasty chicken balls so I wasn’t paying attention. I explained the ice bath for the eggs and he cooperated and did what I asked.

Once I had the balls in the oven and had 2 timers set (2 because I knew I would miss 1), i went to crack the eggs. They weren’t done. I was running short on time. I kept on cracking. I got all the yolks and stuck those babies in the microwave. Yes, I did. Then I mixed up as regular deviled eggs and filled the eggs which looked like they had been through Freddy Krueger’s fingers, I placed them in the freezer. At this time several slid off into the freezer all willy nilly. Of course…why not?

Then, I focused on making plant based goulash for my vegetarian daughter. That’s about the only thing I didn’t totally screw up. After that was finished, I remembered the eggs. By this time, the eggs were frozen. Back to the microwave. Yep, we are all getting food poisoning for Christmas. They are terrible looking. I tasted one. They aren’t horrible, but they are UGLY.

I gave my 1 year old granddaughter a bite. She pulled it out of her mouth and slammed it on to the ground like she was offended that I would even offer her tastebuds such a thing. I cleaned it up and laughed because i honestly don’t blame her. 🤪
